UHC Single Push-Pull Circuit, for balancing details and power The PMA-1500AE features UHC (Ultra High Current) -MOS technology that utilizes a minimum number of high-current amplifier elements to balance advanced speaker drive capabilities and improved sound quality. UHC-MOS is an ideal amplifier whose power supply performance is superior to that of bipolar transistors and incorporates the sound quality advantages of MOS-FETs. The PMA-1500AE's UHC-MOS is provided in a single push-pull configuration that eliminates deviations in the amplification stage and balances high power with delicate musical details. This circuit masterfully reproduces the full sonic range, from the delicate musical nuances to the powerful climaxes of rich musical expression.
Robust power supply to support high speed and high current Large-current Schottky barrier diodes have been used for the rectifier elements to bring out the full potential of the UHC single push-pull circuit. The large-current and low-noise characteristics that result from high-speed operation ensure high sound quality with considerable strength and negligible noise. The combination of the Schottky barrier diodes and a newly-developed large-capacity, block-type capacitor for high-quality sound applications delivers a stable supply of power.
Twin transformers with Leakage Cancelling mount The PMA-1500AE uses twin, serially-connected transformers with vastly improved magnetic circuit and wire coil characteristics. A Leakage Cancelling (LC) mounting system that cancels mutual magnetic influences minimizes the leaking of magnetic flux from the power transformers, a source of noise inside the amp, to ensure high power supply capabilities and low noise.
Power Amp Direct terminal The PMA-1500AE's Power Amp Direct terminal lets you connect another pre-amplifier and input signals directly to the Power-amplifier section. The Power Amp Direct function is turned on or off via a switch on the front panel and is useful for a variety of A/V surround system applications.
Wide-range playback, for next-generation audio The PMA-1500AE achieves an effective frequency response of up to 100 kHz. The use of a low-impedance volume control also suppresses noise generated inside the amp during actual use to ensure optimum resolution. This wide-range playback capability is ideal for high-grade audio formats such as Super Audio CD and DVD-Audio.
Highly-rigid separated chassis, to thoroughly suppress vibration Degradation in sound quality caused by mutual interference among the circuits and noise entering the signal path has been eliminated through the use of a chassis construction where the power amp is housed in an independent block and other circuits with different signal levels are also housed in separate blocks. In addition, by including a stabilizer in the heat radiator of the power amp section, an area easily affected by vibration, adverse influences on sound quality caused by interference among the blocks are eliminated to allow faithful reproduction of a rich sound space. The main chassis also uses a steel plate whose thickness has been carefully considered for optimum rigidity. The chassis construction has been further strengthened through the use of special materials for the base on which the power transformer is mounted, ensuring that vibration is thoroughly suppressed.

High-performance phono equaliser The PMA-1500AE incorporates a high-performance phono equaliser that uses low-noise FETs in a discrete configuration for circuitry in the first stage, allowing analog records to be played with high sound quality. A simple switch setting lets you use either an MM or MC cartridge.

| | Total design founded in the "SA" philosophy The PMA-1500AE inherits the qualities of DENON's high-end models and will accommodate future system upgrades. A system remote control that also supports DENON CD players, cassette decks, and tuners is provided as well. An independent power transformer has been employed in the circuitry power supplies for remote and other controls to minimize interference on the audio circuitry.
